About — Kerala Disaster Resilience Programme
The Kerala Disaster Resilience Programme (KDRP), launched in 2020, is a state‑led effort to boost the region’s ability to anticipate, prepare for and recover from hazards such as floods and landslides. It links community early‑warning networks, climate‑smart infrastructure and district‑level training, and by 2022 had installed over 1,200 low‑cost river sensors that helped avert major flood damage.
