The National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF) is an Indian agency under the Ministry of Earth Sciences that issues 3‑10‑day forecasts for the subcontinent. Its predictions aid agriculture, disaster response and aviation by providing early warnings of cyclones and heatwaves. In June 2023 it correctly forecast a severe monsoon depression over the Bay of Bengal three days ahead.
