The National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC) is an agency of India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology that safeguards critical information systems from cyber threats. It coordinates monitoring, response and capacity building across sectors like banking, energy and telecom. In 2022 it ordered the hardening of 1,000 servers after a ransomware attack on a public utility.
