About — National Film Awards
The National Film Awards are India’s premier government‑sponsored honors recognizing excellence in cinematic achievements across languages and categories. Instituted in 1954, they are presented annually by the President and are considered the highest accolade for Indian filmmakers. In 2023, the film RRR won Best Feature Film.
