About — National Housing Policy 2007
The National Housing Policy 2007 is a government framework to provide affordable housing and improve living conditions for low‑income households in India. It was the first comprehensive effort to link housing with urban planning, slum redevelopment and financial incentives. The policy set a target of building 20 million homes by 2022, offering subsidised home‑loan interest rates for first‑time buyers.
