The National Policy and Action Plan to combat Left Wing Extremism (LWE) is a strategic framework devised by the Government of India to counter the growing threat of Maoist insurgency in the country. This policy aims to address the root causes of LWE and ensure a coordinated response from various stakeholders. It was launched in 2015 with a focus on 60 districts across nine states.
