About — OBC Reservation
OBC reservation is a policy in India that sets aside a proportion of seats in public institutions and jobs for members of Other Backward Classes, socially and educationally disadvantaged castes. It aims to promote equity and improve representation of historically marginalized groups. For example, the 1992 amendment to the Constitution (81st) fixed a 27% quota for OBCs in government services.
