About — PM-Gram Sadak Yojana
The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is a centrally sponsored scheme launched in 2000 to provide all‑weather road connectivity to unconnected habitations in rural India. It aims to boost economic activity, improve access to health and education, and reduce regional isolation. By 2023, the programme had constructed over 1.5 million kilometres of rural roads, linking more than 150,000 villages.
