About — Ratha Sangamam
Ratha Sangamam is the grand convergence of chariots (rathas) from the five major Tamil temples during the annual Chithirai Festival in Madurai, symbolising the celestial marriage of deities Meenakshi and Sundareswarar. It draws over a million devotees, and in 2022 the procession featured 1,200 decorated chariots.
