Rocket Lab is a private aerospace company that designs, builds, and launches small‑satellite rockets, most famously the Electron launch vehicle. It has opened space to a broader range of customers by offering low‑cost, dedicated launches, and in 2022 it became the first U.S. firm to launch a mission from its own orbital launch site on New Zealand’s Mahia Peninsula.
