Section 467 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) deals with the offense of criminal breach of trust by a public servant or a banker. It signifies the importance of accountability and integrity in positions of trust. Notably, the section was used in the 2013 Satyam scandal, where the company's founder was convicted under this provision for misappropriating funds.
