Shinzo Abe was a Japanese politician who served as prime minister from 2012 to 2020, becoming the longest‑serving leader in modern Japanese history. He is noted for his economic revival strategy dubbed “Abenomics” and for strengthening Japan’s security posture. In 2019 he hosted the G20 summit in Osaka.
