About — THAAD interceptors

THAAD interceptors are U.S. missile defense systems that intercept short- to intermediate-range ballistic missiles using infrared-guided hit-to-kill technology during their terminal phase. Deployed in South Korea, the UAE, and Guam, they counter threats from North Korea and Iran. The first operational THAAD battery was deployed in South Korea in 2017, enhancing regional security.
