Vizhinjam Port is a deepâwater seaport under construction at the southern tip of Kerala, India, on a major Indian Ocean shipping lane. It is significant as the first Indian port exempt from cargoâhandling tax, designed to draw transâshipment traffic. The project features a 2.2âkm breakwater and aims to handle 75âŻmillion tonnes annually by 2030.
