The Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), formerly Sriharikota Range, is India’s premier launch facility located on Sriharikota island off the east coast. It serves as the hub for ISRO’s satellite launches, including the historic Chandrayaan‑1 lunar mission in 2008. The centre houses the 13.5‑meter launch pad used for PSLV and GSLV rockets.
